Our guide to the spooky places in Northern Kentucky.

Northern Kentucky is steeped in history, so it’s no surprise that there are many allegedly haunted places dotting both the city and rural landscapes. Here is a short list of opportunities to learn more our paranormal neighbors...

...Things going “bump in the night” at your house? You might want to contact the nonprofit organization, Paranormal Investigators of Northern Kentucky (PINK). With nine years of experience, these local ghost hunters can discover if you have a spirit on your hands, or just a spirited furnace moaning out for repairs. The team has led investigations at Covington’s Carnegie Theatre and the Baker Hunt Center (starting point of the Covington is Haunted tour) as well as private homes throughout Northern Kentucky. Averaging 24 investigations a year, they incorporate technology including infrared cameras, digital audio recorders and environmental measurement devices to document and capture the paranormal activity. The resulting findings are shared with the homeowner and resolutions are discussed.

The program meets the characters who congregate on Bardstown Road for the annual Louisville Zombie Attack; Paranormal Investigators of Northern Kentucky try to find explanations for claims of paranormal activity; in Voices of Elmwood, actors portray deceased residents of Daviess County and tell their stories at gravesides; and Shuffett investigates the life of Hopkinsville native and clairvoyant Edgar Cayce.

Then, the program spends some time with the Paranormal Investigators of Northern Kentucky, known as PINK, an organization that observes, documents and tries to find explanations—natural or otherwise—for claims of paranormal activity at sites in the Northern Kentucky area. Who We Are

Paranormal Investigators of Northern Kentucky (PINK) is a team of passionate, talented professionals who endeavor to educate, validate, and bring peace of mind to individuals and businesses who are troubled by hauntings. Founded in 2005, we operate primarily in Northern Kentucky, Southwest Ohio and Southeast Indiana. Then in October 2016 our sister group PFC Paranormal was founded in Northern Florida. They are being lead by one of our senior members and will be operating in Northern Florida and Southern Georgia. We pride ourselves on our reputation as one of the most trustworthy, experienced, and active paranormal research organizations in the Tri-State area.

What We Do

Upon request, we travel to purportedly haunted sites and conduct investigations to try and observe, document, and explain claims of paranormal activity. Using a wide variety of modern technological devices such as infrared cameras, digital audio recorders, and environmental measurement devices, we attempt to capture and document quantitative and qualitative evidence of paranormal activity. In addition, we also regularly employ intuitive and experimental techniques such as dowsing and pendulum divination in our attempts to discern the true nature of the disturbance.

During our investigations, our first recourse is to find natural explanations for the paranormal activity that our clients experience. When we are unable to do so, we strive to obtain evidence of paranormal phenomena to help our clients verify their experiences. Regardless of our findings, we always do our utmost to provide a satisfactory resolution to our clients’ concerns.
